Ruth Smith, MT - trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Spa Techniques and Reflexology. Member of ABMT. Ruth is also a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and has been working in direct patient contact in the orthopedic field for twenty years.
You will find Ruth to be competant, experienced and compassionate. She will take a thorough medical history, assess your particular needs and goals of the massage, and then combine her knowledge of the above-listed massage techniques to personalize the massage so that it will be best suited for your condition.
Stretching and exercise suggestions will be given following your massage as necessary to address your particular physical needs.

What to Expect

The massage will take place in the privacy of a comfortable treatment room. There will be pleasant music, lighting and aromatherapy to help you relax and enjoy your massage time. You will be asked before the massage to disrobe to your level of comfort. Proper draping with a sheet will be provided for your privacy during the entire massage.
During the massage, toxins may be released from your muscle tissue. Therefore, it is recommended that following your massage, you drink extra water to flush out the tissues of your body. You may feel very relaxed following the massage, with possible freedom from those nagging long-term aches and pains.
